Trash 2 Treasure Truck

One of my latest projects is supporting the work of Terrill Haigler and his burgeoning nonprofit organization, Trash 2 Treasure. Terrill is a young social entrepreneur, former sanitation worker, and has embarked on a mission to clean up neighborhoods in Philadelphia.

He now just purchased a garbage truck, and I am happy to report that OneBeautifulPlanet.org will have a logo on it to show our support!

Terrill expects to collect 10-12 tons of trash every single day, and plans to hire at-risk youth for workforce development.

I met Terrill a couple of years ago in Philadelphia (pic below!), and I was captivated by his enthusiasm and dedication. He has 40K Instagram followers under his nickname Ya Fav Trashman, which shows the immense power of community service combined with social media outreach.

Website Update

I am sharing below a snapshot from SEO tool ahrefs.com of how website traffic has been developing, now that it’s almost a year since I started it.

Traffic has been building up, although I have added zero new articles and content over the past several weeks. And amazingly, the web traffic is worth a whopping $11! Just imagine how much cleaner the world will be once several zeroes are added to that number, and any incoming funds from “monetization” are channeled toward environmental action and protecting our one beautiful planet!

In the Works

On the action front, I completed a small cleanup at my local grocery store while my electric vehicle was charging.

If you drive an electric car, what are you doing while your car is charging? Are you catching up on email, getting a meal, or shopping?

Why not pop out that litter grabber, and go extra environmentally friendly by picking up your surroundings. Bonus if you go to the grocery store manager afterwards, give them the bag full of trash collected, tell them you’re a volunteer who did them a favor, and encourage them to install a trash can near the charging station! Maybe brand it with their grocery store logo!
