The 2025 Annual Report: Broadening the Base

Overview

The year 2025 was one of slow, yet deliberate growth in pursuit of our mission to inspire, perform, and support restorative environmental action. The email newsletter list grew to 300 subscribers, we enlisted three additional writers who published articles on our site, cleaned up almost 300 lbs. of litter, and supported 17 different groups and organizations with more than $6,270 (up from $5,200 in 2024). Here are the details:

Pillar One: Inspire

We published five new articles, bringing the total articles on the site to 36. Importantly, we have three new guest writers, Carolyn Morris, Matt Hoffman, and Jairus James.

  • Carolyn wrote about her work protecting toads on a busy road

  • Matt enlightened us about the Bluegrass Festival in Annapolis, a model for sustainable music events.

  • Jairus wrote a powerful piece about bird safety.

Total web traffic grew to 28,000 visits, which per Squarespace implies 179% YoY growth! Right now we are getting approx. 1,000 - 2,000 visits a month, which is pretty cool. In early 2025, our litter grabbers review article reached top position on Google, something we are very proud of. Check it out: just google “litter grabbers” and scroll past the Sponsored Results at the top. As a result, we even received an inbound request from someone wanting to buy 50 grabbers, without realizing we are not a retailer. Also, enterprises and manufacturers such as Waterhaul reached out and gifted us their latest grabber, the OceanPositive 33” for us to use & review!

Pillar Two: Perform

On the cleanup front, we only completed 12 litter cleanups, and picked up a total of approx. 300 lbs. Both these measures are markedly lower than 2024. However, what is notable about this year is that the large majority of our cleanups were team efforts as opposed to just me going solo.

Also, we initiated participation in the Adopt-a-Highway program for a ~2 mile stretch of road in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Pillar Three: Support

During 2025 we contributed $6,270 to 17 groups dedicated to restorative environmental action. Many of these are listed on our Partners page, so please go check out their amazing work.

Thank you for reading this far, for volunteering, and for your support! Here’s to an impactful 2026!
